Dixons voucher codes case study – Result!?

4th April, 2007 Comments Off submit to affiliates4u

Well would you believe it? Firstly, let me remind you that my Shop Codes Dixons page was on Page 25 of Google’s results a few weeks ago. I documented it 13 days ago on this site. This was particularly hurting, as i) my site Shop Codes specialises in voucher codes and ii) I did and do have Dixons voucher codes to provide. In March it was the £30 discount code. Today, it’s the £50 code if you spend over £999.

Anyway, I wanted to chart in this blog how my page would improve or even fall further. What became clear over the last few days was this blog became more popular than my intended destination page. That was OK, as I received my first comment for this blog.

Now today, I’ve just performed a search for “dixons voucher codes” and my site is listed in the top two positions. The first is the home page with a cached date of 2 April 2007. The second is the page with the Dixons codes on. I’ve taken a screengrab, as there’s only way I can go now and that’s back down.

I am also aware that I may be the only person in the World to see my sites top of the Google listings. That’s because Google knows from my search history that I visit Shop Codes a lot and so it gives it a bump or too. Or something like that. Either way I was still on Page 25 a few weeks back.
